The federal regulations have not changed.  The RN assessment coordinator signs at R2 to verify that the MDS is complete.  The regulation requires that the assessment coordinator be an RN.  This item does not refer to accuracy of the data.  If the state association is distributing this information, I recommend that your facility request a copy of the regulation that supports this information before making any changes.

Just received information from facility staff that returned from a seminar (Louisiana Nursing Home Association) that as of 1-04, all disciplines (including the RN) will have to sign the MDS as accurate vs. complete..

Has anyone else heard this.
