I would just do an admission assessment. Currently we do have to actually follow a resident once we discharge them, only discharge them as we think they will be.

A facility has a resident return who was DC'd to the hospital in Dec 2002 as AA8a=7. Her family took her home instead of returning her to the facility. Now she returns. If a AA8a=7 is followed by AA8a=9, would you do that and follow w/AA8a=2? Seems strange? thanks....cher /---------------------------------------------------------- The Case Mix Discussion Group is a free service of the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators "Committed to the Assessment Professional" Be sure to visit the AANAC website.
