My F.I. is Mutual of Omaha. They have a specific list of things to send in regards to
the demand bill. The first thing is a copy of the denial letter. For example if today
was the last day of skill,I would date letter today, there is a section that I
notified so and so with today's date of notification.I usually will certify it out
tomorrow.I had someone awhile ago that sent the request to demand back about 2 weeks
after I sent the original notification..Mutual at first said that the bene wasn't
notified timely. We had to argue with them that once the letter leaves us,we have no
control of when the family sends it back to us.We won our arguement.Don't let them
deny on a technicality.
