Yes, we have a family council with a family member as president. SS chairs it. They present topics of interest to the families. Advance directives, Medicaid, therapy caps, changes that ae occuring etc. We also have a resident council that meets monthly. A resident is the council president.  They keep us up to date on any concerns they have, let us know changes they want or what changes we make how the rsidents think they are going, etc. Several changes we make or consider come from our very active resident council.  Activity director chairs.

Subject: family council

Hi,
I have a question please, how many of you at Nursing Homes have a "family council"? Who runs it? How often does it meet? and if no, why not?
Thank you.
