This may have already been said... I haven't seen all of the tread. Section G4 has 2 parts  A) ROM &  B) Voluntary movement. The way I interpret it is A) is there rom (active or assisted) B) Is this voluntary or assisted. it has example of this in manual. The other issue is Does it interfere with daily function? there are people with impaired rom that can continue to do all that they were able to do, on the other hand someone who is in a vegetative state, this would not affect their daily function - even though we still need to address skin integrity & comfort. Just some thoughts....

This looks like a brand new definition of a contracture.  If you can do ROM it is not a contracture

Subject: Survey Says....re section G

Just finished our survey, and I was cited for not coding section G ROM accurately, and not coding contractions on 672.  My question here is...can I do a significant correction of a prior assessment to correct section G, or can I wait until the next MDS.  I am pretty sure the answer will be do a correction, but the surveyor told me to wait until the next MDS.  Surveyors told me that even though the resident has passive range of motion in the joint, because they can't do active ROM I need to code as contracture. Thanks.
