If the resident could get up from a regular bed and ambulate, it would be a restraint.  Just a warning--be very careful with low beds against the wall. We have had a resident become entrapped between the bed and the wall.  Thank God, no injury and we know she was not there long.

Subject: Restraint or Not

Could someone tell me if a low bed against the wall with a mat on the otherside of the bed is a restraint?????
Where can I find the documentation if this is a restraint.

Thanks
