Kathy,
Your next quarterly is due based on the R2B of the
most recent OBRA assessment. Your PPS assessment will not affect the OBRA
calendar.

Subject: Do I restart the quarterly from
last quarterly date, or from the 5 day medicare assessment?
Intermediate resident went out for emergency sx
to correct a strangulated hernia, and he was d/c with return anticipated; he
was skilled for IV meds when he returned, so we did a Medicare 5 day
assessment. Then the IV meds were actually d/c on day 6 he does not seem to
have any other changes that would make a sig change necessary, do we put him
back on a quarterly schedule from the ARD of the 5 day, or back on his
previous quarterly schedule (I'm pretty sure I don't do this).
Thanks.
