Title: Citrus Punch
I would code walking with a resident with a gait belt as limited assistance if there was no weight bearing assistance at all.  I would code it as limited assistance instead of supervision since the staff is physically touching the resident and providing non-weight bearing physical assistance.

Subject: ambulation with a gait belt in use?

How do you code ambulation when a resident walks in the hallway 5x/week  with restorative, with a gait belt in place? It is our policy for the resident to have a gait belt in use, with staff holding the belt. How much assistance is this? The staff bears no weight, but is this a "1" or "2"?
