The dietitian in my facility refuses to mark K5h on any residents mds.
She states that all her "goals" are to maintain and or prevent weight loss.
However she orders fortified foods, supplements to increase caloric intake and prevent wt losses on many. I told her then she should check K5h. She disagrees saying that if she checked this it would cause Surveyors to narrow their scope on these residents-which are alot, on wether or not they are reaching this goal of gaining weight. She states she is not ever going to check it unless someone "makes" her. Am I right or wrong. Can someone please clarify this?
Thanks Jennifer in Missouri
