In NY for PRI purposes it does not matter. The admission date is always the
first admission date, even when the resident wa discharged to home
for period of time with return not anticipated.Bogda

If the resident doesn not lose bedhold,
they can not be considered a new admission
The person is treated as a new admission for PRI purposes, and you have
to meet the new admission qualifier
