Psychiatrists do code a visit for evaluation for the use of medications as
therpy.I code as a visit and code the minutes depending on the type of

I picked up on something from a previous message: Do not count
Psychiatrist visits to residents who are evaluated and usually provided with
medication intervention. I would like to hear from you as to whether you are
coding your Psychiatric visits in section P. We are counting them - they are
not "therapy" in any sense of the word - their is discussion with the
resident by the psychiatrist, but it is usually to collect data for
treatment, usually pharmacology. Now I am thinking we should not be counting
the visits. Any comments on this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
