With a trach greater than 13 years, I would be very careful about skilling it.  Is she now requiring staff to do the trach care, suctioning, etc. since she is not able?  Is she unstable requiring frequent o2 adjustments, etc?

    I have a resident who exhausted her 100 days. Had a wellness period greater then 60 days because she was at home. This resident has a trach for greater th en 13 years. Went to hosp , met her Part A requirments. Physcial therapy and ot picked up for 3 weeks, since , this resident had a wellness period at home ,I could skill for one hudred s regarding trach care with cont's mist , suction prn, wright????????????????
