I went to a seminar and asked how early can a doctor sign the medicare cert form. They told me "about a week before it's due". I have a resident who's 30 day cert is due to be signed by january 29. Could the doctor sign it today? January 21? Is that ok, or "too early"? I only ask because the doc is in the building right now and I don't know if he'll be back next week.
