Our nurses have to check with the resident and ensure that they took the proper medications. Then the nurse documents on the Mar. Besides the listing for the medication, it will state that the resident is self-administering. Per our policy, when the nurse signs her signature, she has checked with the resident is see if they have taken the meds.
