Chemotherapy is a skilling service. It is under the Clinically complex group. All that would be required for the resident to rug out in a clinically complex is for the resident to have received the chemo within 14 days of the ARD. It goes without saying that chemo would likely be administered in another facility since most SNF's do not administer chemo.
You will need excellent documentation for skilling this resident, ie for any adverse reaction related to chemo, nutritional status, etc. Brenda W.
