I just completed an audit and I found a resident with 2 MDSs in the chart -
exact dates for everything (A3a, R2b etc). The difference is one is marked as an
annual (it is a full) and one is marked as a 5 day PPS (MPAF form) - before I talk to
the MDS coordinator - I am guessing either she forgot to code the full as a PPS or the
MPAF was done and she was due for an annual and she forgot, so she ended up with 2
assessments - my question is - is this the best way to handle this? Thanks in advance.
