Our therapy dept puts out a schedule daily and it is kept at the nurses
station with a cover...HIPPA. It is easy for the staff to tell the resident
the time of their therapy and for the LN's to schedule the prn meds prior to
therapy if needed. Gail

Subject: THERAPY SCHEDULING

We are a 21Medicare Bed SNF. We are having difficulty with our residents
knowing when they are going for therapy and were thinking of doing some type
of schedule on a day to day basis. We were thinking that then the residents
would know when they would have therapy and when they would want to time
pain medications. Also, we thought it would help the nurses out as well as
the aides in getting the residents ready for therapy. How do some of the
rest of you handle this problem?? Do schedules seem to work? Any ideas
would be appreciated.

THANKS
