The different paragraphs are available on line in the HIM12 medicare manual,the
wording is what we all have used for years,ie,no further likelihood of
change,etc,etc.The new letters we will need to use by Oct 2004 are called ABN letters
and a sample is also available on the CMS web site.They feel the letters we now use
are confusing to the consumer,I agree,how many times have I explained several times
what the language actually means.Cms has a listserver also,their are actually several
sitres.At work we signed up.The sent some new transmittal every few days.Some pertain
to hospitals,snfs or homecare.It is very easy to scroll down an see what is new for
snfs.I would suggest everyone thru their work computer get on the various
listservers.I am at home now and don't have the sites hand.
