Paula, I had the same type of OJT that you did; my trainer was mentally in another state by day 2!  The nurse working with me had two months experience, and I knew nothing, but we muddled through. Find someone in the facility who has experience, and ask them to help you.  Get organized with your long term and MCA patients, either with a tickler or a form of some type.  Where are you in Florida?  I'm in Tampa.  E-mail me again if I can help.  I also have many responsiblities, but I do not have to take call.
