OK, did more investigating, patient admitted to acute hospital on 1/30, unna
boots inplace at that time, no evidence in hospital chart they were ever
changed yet, yes I know, minimum of 12 days, I have no idea what is there,
so now what do I code in section M????

The only problem with this is that they were put on either when the patient
was at home or when the patient was in the acute care hospital.  So, would I
be able to use this info if it was not assessed during the assessment period
and if not what are my options??

I called the vascular Dr's office and asked that each time the patient went
for a change of the boots that the Dr write and draw the extent of the area
on the referral that we send.I guess I was lucky because it happened.I used
the Dr's description.Perhaps the nurse did it but Dr signed.
