This is incorrect.  You cannot count a psychologist's visit as a Physician
Visit in P7 however you may count it in P2.  See page 3-204 of the RAI
manual, it states:

        Physician - Does not include visits made by Medicine Men nor
licensed psychologists (PhD).  The licensed psychoclogist visits may be
recorded in P2b.

A question came up at a recent nursing meeting here and I have been
requested to ask this group a question: 

         When coding physician visits and physician order changes in
Sections P7 and P8, we understand that Podiatry and Dental visits can also
be counted in these sections.  The question is, since the psychologist is
also an MD, can his order changes and visits be recorded in these two
sections as well as in P2b?
