Is he comfort measures?? If he is, I
would approach it from the comfort aspects--ie: Will tolerate foods/fluids
of choice that promote comfort. ...or something to that effect. You need
to point out that he is terminal and decline is expected and the comfort is the
main goal. Staff should offer favorites but not push.
I have a resident with lung Ca with mets to brain/bone. He eats
practically nothing. What can I use for a goal r/t his poor
intake? Would giving a wt. range be appropriate? I just cannot
think at 2:30 Fri. afternoon, the 13th at that. Thanks.
