I call the responsible party and explain the situation and reason for denial. I write that on the second page of the denial letter where they sign indicating that it was discussed verbally. (notified via telephone conversation) I then send the letter out the same day via certified mail, return receipt requested. I include a Facility addressed stamped envelope to help ease the responsible party's burden of returning the denial letter signed. Hope that helps

To the gang....
How does your facility manage MCR cut letters for out of state responsible parties? Is it acceptable to write on the form you have discussed with them over the phone and they understand? Any response is appreciated....
