Subject: Two nurse signatures on MD orders
Are there any facilities out there that require two nurse signatures when
transcribing an MD order (essentially a double-check)? We do require this
and it has not cut down on our transcription errors. I think the nurse's are
just signing without actually checking to see if it was transcribed
correctly (obviously). Before I start a campaign to drop this - I wanted to
get a feel from you all on what you are doing? Thanks in advance.
