If he just turned 65 and
has had a qualifying hospital stay, he would have benefit days available.
There wouldn't be a preclusion since he never used any Medicare days
before.

Subject: can resident be skilled for MC?
A long term MA resident with a tube
feeding for last two years recently turned 65 & had a 3 day hospital stay
for Pneumonia. Can he be skilled for Medicare now that he is eligible? or does
the fact that he has had a tube feeding preclude this? Thanks
