Holly,
I am so glad Jacob is doing better. It sounds like he is geting great care from MD, and family.

As for your job situation, maybe now the DON can see what the process really is. Do you think is is possible to train 2 "virgins" in a week? They better be asking lots of questions, of course sometimes you can't know what to ask if you don't know anything.. That is what is so great about this cmdg.....We can always get LOTS of ideas, opinions etc.
Good luck in the future,
Ann Schoeny

Subject: Updates (Partly Off Topic)

Hi, Y'all

Just wanted to give some updates on me and my nephew.

1st of all, Jacob is doing really well, adjusting to his spica cast. My SIL said that at least the cast makes containment much easier right now. She can just set him down in the middle of the living room, and he can't go anywhere.  (Not that she can stand to even put him down for more than a few minutes right now)   The doctors here are being really supportive and giving her and my brother lots of info and assistance as far as the O.I. goes.

2nd.... y'all know that next Friday is my last day. Well, this evening, the DON called as soon as I got in the door, to let me know what is going on.  They have been unable to hire anyone for my position. (Quelle surprise)   So, 2 LPNs who have NO EXPERIENCE OR EXPOSURE TO MDS EVER  are going to be taking over for me. I am to spend next week training them.  You may recall, this is the same DON who told me very snottily, that she didn't think she would have any trouble at all replacing me.  Oh Boy!!

Well, I will be giving them the cmdg address, and hope they have sense enough to use it.

Rotsa Ruck.

Holly
