Just like counting sponges, needles, and instruments--no one left until you found it We actually used ether masks that had an inflatable rubber seal all around the perimeter. We used Vaseline to make a good seal with the skin.
In those days we did not know Vaseline deteriorated rubber.
So much to learn, so little time. However, that is what makes life interesting to me, continually learning.
