This whole thread has been remarkable when you think back about what we
(over 40) did as NA,s and staff in hospitals or wherever back then. Yes, we
did not have the sense to bother with universal precautions then, and we did
do some pretty gross treatments, but, you what? MOM and methiolate with heat
lamps to pressure ulcers WORKED. So did sugar.Newer is not necessarily
better, just more expensive and I believe that we have resistant wounds
and infections because over the past few years we have to sanitize everything.
No onoe has any resistance anymore. I have watched new mothers with their
young ones, and I shudder, cause these kids are now "allergic" to everything
and sick all the time, and the pharmaceutical companies just keep rolling in
the $$$$$. Enough of my soapbox for this month!!
