I'm sorry, but this is simply not true. Rena (I think it was Rena) responded to this point a couple of days ago.  Beneficiaries do not regenerate multiple benefit periods for specific conditions.  The benefit period does not end until the beneficiary completes 60 consecutive days of "wellness". That is, 60 consecutive days of receiving no skilled services. (That also does not mean 60 consecutive days of medicare not paying for skilled services, as a previous business office manager thought)

I would not try to reskill her for the peg tube at this time.She was probably already skilled for this.You can however look more into skilling her for the IV medication useage for a time, if accurate documentation and dx is in place, and she is still recieving it at the SNF.
