surveyors--labeling OTC meds

Our DON asked me to get your input and also the regulation if anyone knows.  
Our pharmacy consultant told us that it is no longer necessary to label 
stock pills for date opened if the expiration date is circled.  Last years 
survey team agreed.  THis year's team wants them labeled with the date the 
bottles were opened.
