If you get the order for the f/u lab, I'd keep him on until the results come
back (assuming they are WNL and there are no further med changes).
Otherwise, I'd lean toward taking him off.

Subject: skilling res for med a

Hello to all,

I have a resident that has an eye infection. Eyes are red,
itchy, and watery. Md had ordered eye ointment on 02/03/2004. Eye
continue to be red and irritated-md ordered for an opthalmic consult.
his VSS. He is receiving O2 at 2l but it is continuous. We are
checking pulse ox but it has been consisted above 90%. His wt is
stable. He was placed on synthroid on 02/11/2004 d/t his TSH level
being 19.56H. Md did not order f/u labs-I have the nurses checking with
MD to see if he wants any f/u labs. Would you continue to skill this
resident?
