It may take awhile, but eventually the fiscal intermediary will catch the error. Probably when they process the hospital bill and they will deny the hospital payment because according to the tracking in the system the resident was in a SNF the days that the hospital is billing for. Plus your billing staff could not have included those days on the UB. I would recommend completing the tracking forms at this time and save a lot of eventual headaches.
