Topic:psychotropic medication review
The current policy of our organization, a county nursing home in Illinois,
is to have an RN complete the psychotropic medication review notes. We have
a new director of dementia services whose certification is CNA but has no
degree in social work,other related degree, and is not an RN or LPN. Is it
legal for this staff to complete the psychotropic medication review notes as
she is taking over the role of making rounds with the facility psychiatrist
for the dementia services unit. Thanks.
