Thank you, Nathan. I agree that right now this is not an advisable practice. However,
it seems that it should be. I, too have asked for an interpretation from CMS, but have
not yet received an clarification. It leaves facility coordinators in a bind as the
RAC-C RNACs do not want to be non-compliant but consultants & administrators pressure
them to use this practice.
