I have a resident that came into facility for < 20 min. Her dx was hip fx.
However, when she was transferred off stretcher, she was noted to have a
large amt or rectal bleeding. The charge nurse called MD who ordered her
sent to the ER. Was NOT admitted back into hospital. She came back to us @
12:05 am. Are we correct in thinking that the admit day was the day she came
back into facility @ 12:05am?
She actually left facility on the same stretcher that she came in on.... The
ambulance crew never left the parking lot.
