Restorative would promote the purpose of assisting the resident to improve in a functional setting.  In addition, if the resident could tolerate more therapy would question why it wasn't being given?   In some States that promote Restorative Nursing as a part of their reimbursement, it is considered "Best Practice", etc.  I hope I am explaining it in a way that is understandable

My only question would be why??? If they are receiving therapies with a High as RUG what would be the purpose of Rest? If they need more therapy why not kick that up to get a higher rehab RUG?
My question exactly. Yet you have people here stating it is "best practice"???
