Was resident acutally ADMITTED to the
hospital, or only there foe OBSERVATION???. If actually ADMITTED then yes
on the D/c & Reenrty Tracking form, and start the PPS cycle over w/ a
Readmit to medicare. If only there for OBSERVATION, just skip the
day that " head wasn'y in the bed @ MN" and extend your Medicare
days by one.

The resident was put into a bed at the hospital and kept there until late afternoon, about 13 hours later. The hospital is billing for that day. Do we have to do a discharge tracker, reentry tracker, readmission orders and start a new Medicare schedule? |
