Again....why are you keeping these G-Tubes???
I was told that if you remove a gastrostomy tube and the tract heals, another tube cannot be inserted (do another punch) in the same area due to scar tissue. If there is any chance that the gastrostomy tube will be used again "in the near future", it is better to leave it in with periodic flushes.
