Grace days should be driven by 1. the needs of the resident and 2. the financial need of the facility to take credit for the level of therapy resources being used to provide medically necessary services. Routine use of the Grace days because therapy is not provided over the weekend is problematic and reflects both staff focused and finacially focused care.
