2/1 would be when skilled services started again but they would not get
another 100 days since they did not have a 60 day break in services. 12/10
to 2/1 is only 52 days. You use the remainder of the previous 100 days, i.e.
if they used 37 skilled days up to 12/10, they would only have 63 days
remaining now since they had another 3 day qualifying stay.

That would be correct.  The day of Admission into the hospital would be the
day that 'skilled' services began.

We had a rt. in our facility who was skilled. Skilled serviced were d/c'd
12/10/03 was admitted to the hospital  2/1/04 and returned to us 3/8/04. Our
billing office has advised me that the 2/1/04 date is the one to be used as
returning to skilled services. I have never run into this before and wanted
to check. It is a matter of having another 100 days or not. Appreciate feed
back.
