I agree with Deanna. While you need to start your PPS cycle all over again with 3/8 as day 1 of this PPS stay, it is NOT day 1 of a new hundred day benefit period. There was no 60 day break in skilled services since the resident was admitted to the hospital 52 days after the end of skilled services. He has remaining Medicare days in the original 100 days , so you would pick up where you left off with the Medicare day count in December.
