count the days from the R2B date of last MDS. If the date of discharge was less than 92 days from the last R2b date, you do not have to do the quarter. If date of discharge was 92 days or more from the last R2b date, do the quarter.

Tanya,
When was the R2B of last assessment? The R2b date is your critical date, rather than ARD. If the R2b is less than 92 days then you are fine.

Honestly, I would not do the assessment, and would keep a record of the discharge date and why assessment was not done.

I have a resident that's ARD for her quarterly MDS was 3/16, she was discharged on 3/17, I can not make the ARD past 3/16 or it would be past the 92 days. Since she is discharged do we have to do the MDS for 3/16. I thought we would have to but the staff is really giving me a hard time with this one. HELP
