In Kansas the survey team can put a nursing home in for exemplary care if they have no deficiencies and the surveyors feel that you do a good job and work hard on issues to accomplish the best for the residents

What state are you in? I have never heard of an award given by the state- professional organizations yes, but not the state -WOW. Congrats.

Just got some good news yesterday, and wanted to share it with everyone. We had our state survey the last of Feburary, we were deficiency free for the 2nd year in a row. They told us they were going to nominate us for the exemplary award for our activities, and our rehab/therapy. The administrator informed us that we recived the award. Boy it times like this that make this job fun. The activity and therapy department do a wounderful job, and in some cases are overlooked for all the good they do. Just wanted to share a bit of good news with everyone.
