If she had medicare a days left when she went to the hospital, then she
qualifies to continue with what days she has left.  She does not qualify
for a new 100 day benefit period, but can pick up on what days she has
left (she had at least a 3 day hospital stay).

Hi.  Your patient was off Medicare for greater than 30 days but had a
3-day
qualifying (check on this to make sure the time in the hospital was as

inpatient) hospital stay within 60 days.  If she is now back with orders
and
skilling services then she is eligible to use any remaining days she has
from the prior benefit period.  Here is the decision tree FYI --(see
