No, default payment is not assigned for a
late R2b date. The only time a default occurs is if the ARD date is not
within the appropriate window as specified by PPS regulations.

Subject: R2b date after 14 days
Question regarding PPS - If the date at R2b is more than 14 days
after the ARD, would we be paid at default rate? I believe I remember
seeing that we would not, but I am taking some time off and of course, no
one is covering for me so I am wondering about any Med A admits that may
happen while I am gone. Thanks in advance.
