Subject: R2b date after 14 days

Question regarding PPS - If the date at R2b is more than 14 days after the ARD, would we be paid at default rate?  I believe I remember seeing that we would not, but I am taking some time off and of course, no one is covering for me so I am wondering about any Med A admits that may happen while I am gone.  Thanks in advance.

Michelle,
You can use grace days for the 14 day assessment as long as you're not combining it with the Admission assessment.  The admission assessment along with RAPs must be completed by day 14.  If it's PPS only, you have up to day 19 if you use all the grace days.
