In this situation you can do a modification to change the ARD since the
assessment was completed using 3/23 however the date was data entered
incorrectly.

Subject: MDS correction...

Have an ARD that was set for 3/24. We moved the ARD to 3/23 and
completed the assessment with that data. One problem. The nurse
responsible for that assessment did not change the reference date, only
the information. So, we have erroneous data that effects the RUG score.
This assessment was submitted to state long ago. It was a 14 day
Admission assessment. We just discovered the problem with an internal
audit. I would prefer to correct the date of the assessment to get the
RHC rug, rather than just change the data which would drop us to a RMC,
but I do not see an option to change the ARD in the correction manual.
I know that it is inappropriate to set the ARD after the 'window' for
the assessment, but it was already set, just not carried over into the
computer. Any ideas??? Please???
