We are looking at giving blood at our SNF unit and have a question about billing if anyone know the answer to this I would appreciate the help.   Can we send a pt to observation at the hospital as an outpt and they bill for blood and services? Is there a rule on transporting blood to SNF unit? Can SNF bill for blood and services after the 3 unit of blood? Any input from anyone that has dealt with this situation?              Thanks Lisa
