We have resident's who go out to different programs during the day and who regularly
go home for visits. If they won't be in the facility to take their meds at the
appropriate time, we send the medication with them. Where do I find the regs for this?
A resident just asked a nurse, in front of a surveyoer, for 2 tylenol to "take with
her" and the nurse of course complied. We don't have an order for self administering
meds and now I'm wondering about sending meds out with anyone.

Thanks,

Dorothy
