It depends upon your email program. Outlook express (also known in some
circles as Outlook Distress) is set up so that when you hit reply, it sends
it to cmdg and not to the original writer. And with outlook, sometimes it
is tricky to discover the actual email address of the original writer.
Often, what shows in the email is what you have entered as your
identification (which for me is my full name and title, but could be your
aol screen name or some other identity you establish in your email program).
My email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you enter my identifier, your
email program may recognize and route it properly, or it may not.

If you are using outlook, the easiest way to find out the email address is
to right click on the message in your inbox, and click "properties". This
will give you the email address that needs to be entered in the "To" field
in order not to send it to the whole group.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Replying to E-mail

> Regarding our list serve: there are 2 buttons to the left of screen one
says "reply" the other says "reply all". On other sites and my own server
of choice for e mail this means exactly what it says. If you want to reply
to everyone on discussion group you choose "reply all". If you only want to
reply to sender of e-mail you choose "reply". Is this not the way cmdg
works?
